Yes they are safe. It is an erstwhile trick - my grandmother used to throw 2 or 3 tennis balls into the dryer when I was trivial. For some reason she had cutting a slit into each of them (I call back playing with them by squeezing the sides of a slitted lawn tennis ball so that it would "talk," like a trivial greenish Pac Man). But they are safe even new just out of the tin can. It really cuts down on dryer time, specially with thicker fabrics like towels or jeans, or with fitted sheets that tend to hold wet clothes hostage in their pocketed corners. I noticed a large $ divergence when I was in college using quarters in a laundromat.

Yes it is safe, I use them when always I dry blankets and such. Laundry mats normally fifty-fifty go on a few on hand only for that reason.

Don't waste product your coin on those blue porcupine dryer assurance. My daughter bought them and they did non work at all. The laundry was a wrinkled mess and she had to wash it over over again. What a waste.

I wash and dry my down comforter myself instead of having it dry out cleaned. Believe it or not, my drycleaner told me how to practise this! I employ Woolite and cold water on a gentle/delicate wheel.

I then toss the comforter, and almost vi lawn tennis assurance, in the dryer; set information technology on delicate/air dry then check and reposition it about every 15 minutes until dry out. Works wonderfully!

No, the tennis balls have never stained any of my whites (and I accept white sheets, a white and bluish comforter and all the guys in my house wearable white undershirts every day...so, lots of white laundry washed around here and never any staining effect).

Put lawn tennis assurance in white socks. Also, use chair gliders since they already have slits.

What is the purpose of putting the lawn tennis ball inside a sock?
